Bangla Rd Bars

Many of the Bangla Road Bars open much earlier in the day than bars located in the small side streets leading off Bangla Road. Possibly the earliest opening bar is Aussie Bar, which opens its doors around 9:30am to serve breakfast (as well as beer). Other bars, including P-One Bar, Blue Lotus, Kangaroo, Sunset and Shipwreck start to open at around 11am. This makes Bangla Road a great place to sit and drink a few cold beers whilst people watching during the day.

The Margarita Bar is located up at the top of Bangla Road, and is one of the better nightlife venues to be found in the street. One of the nice things about Margarita Bar is the fact that young working Thai girls tend not to bother the customers too much, this makes it a great place to catch your breath. The drinks menu is extensive, and fairly well priced

Kangaroo Bar is a classic Patong beer bar, although much larger than most. It is also one of the oldest. Kangaroo Bar features a resident DJ playing RnB and Rock n Roll, and a bevy of luscious young ladies to serve the drinks. The cocktails are exceptional and the ladies do not hassle the clientele, a very chilled place and a good choice of venue for the start of the evening.

Located right opposite Soi Gonzo, U2 Bar

Just across the road from Soi Crocodile is the Shipwreck Bar. This is a very relaxed bar, with very few working girls hassling the clientele. One added bonus is the free entertainment which becomes available as the ladyboys across the road parade around seeking clients.

Sharky’s Bar is infamous. This is one of the wildest of all bars to be found on Bangla Road. The girls who work the bar tend to get a little rowdy at times, dancing on the tables and generally getting crazy. Sharky’s also makes sure to employ only the sexiest girls, and the Sharky’s uniform shows them off to good effect! Hang out at Sharky’s long enough and the girls will drag you upstairs to Tiger Disco at 2pm when Sharky’s shuts.
