If you visit no other attraction on Phuket, you simply have to take in the FantaSea Show. FantaSea is an audio and visual extravaganza which portrays the culture, history, myths and legends of Thailand through a plethora of different media. The show consist of several parts and themes, including stunts, fireworks, acrobatics, dance, aerial ballet and an incredible 4-D special effects system.

Arguably the main attraction of the FantaSea show is the elephants. Up to 50 elephants will appear on the stage at a time, dancing or helping to reenact moments of Thai history. These elephants are perfectly well trained, and the operators of FantaSea take good care of them, they always seem to be enjoying themselves. Before the show you can meet some of the elephants, feed them and pet them.

The show takes place in a specially constructed venue which is part of the Phuket FantaSea Park. The park itself features many other attractions, which includes the Similan Entertainment Center, Carnival Village Shopping Street, Tiger Jungle Adventure, Songbird Luminaire and the Palace of the Elephants. These attractions are open all day, and are perfect to enjoy whilst waiting for the FantaSea show to begin.

There two large restaurants to be found within the park, one of which specializes almost entirely upon seafood. There are also plenty of small food stalls selling drinks and snacks. Prices are fairly reasonable for this type of entertainment venue.

Overall, the sheer quality of the FantaSea show and the huge range of additional attractions and activities to be found within the park, make Phuket FantaSea one of, if not the best tourist attractions on the island of Phuket. This is especially true for family groups, who will find something to amuse all ages.
